About Lucky “peace_0857” Jerry

He might go by Lucky Jerry, but his story is not just about luck. In fact, Jerry is all about putting in the time and dedication to get better in poker.

Jerry grew up with the CEO of the Chinese Texas Hold'em Poker Club, Tai Hsing-hsiung, whom he considers a brother. He witnessed Tai’s inspiring journey from night market hawker to CEO, and the first live tournament he joined was organised by Tai.

Crediting his success to both Tai and his other best friend, Lee Kai-xiang (a senior student of National Taiwan University), Jerry often consults with them to discuss hands and review concepts.

Being able to participate in a limited number of live tournaments due to the nature of his job in insurance, Jerry still makes the most of it. At the beginning of 2020, he finished 6th in the Chinese Texas Hold'em Million Tournament. His other wins are mostly with Natural8 - having secured seats at Final Tables continuously in six tournaments, and winning three championship titles.

To become an ambassador with Natural8, Jerry won the Taiwan National Championship Leaderboard. Out of 33 tournaments, he finished in the money in 19 and made it to the Final Table for 8.

Jerry is positive, optimistic and always eager to learn. Even with his current level of success, he feels that there is always room for improvement.
