More than a year on from the start of the pandemic, there seems to be no end in sight. Even with vaccination initiatives being rolled out, many countries around the world are still experiencing 3rd and 4th waves. One country in particular that has been devastated by the Coronavirus is India.
The 2nd most populated country in the world is currently seeing roughly 400,000 daily infections and this number is expected to grow in the coming days, weeks, and months. In recent weeks, there have been many pictures of long queues outside crematoriums, mass graves, hospitals at capacity, and a nation overwhelmed by the crisis.

The crisis that India is facing will have devastating effects for the rest of the world. India provides critical back-end staff to other countries, particularly in finance and health. They are also one of the leading pharmaceutical providers in the world and produce a significant amount of vaccines, drugs and other medicines. If India is unable to provide vaccines and other medical supplies to the rest of the world, the spillover effects will be critical.
If India has any hope of overcoming this devastation, other countries, organizations, and everyday folk will need to lend a helping hand.
