Event #9: Vietnam National Cup
National Cup action returned with the VND 2.5M (~$96) Event #9: Vietnam National Cup (VND 5BN / ~$192,512 GTD), which switched from its previous bounty format to a standard tournament format for 2026.
The format change proved a resounding success, attracting 2,628 entries to set a new APTO field size record for the tournament (up +2.94% / +75 entries over 2025's 2,553 entries). The massive turnout generated a VND 6,044,400,000 (~$232,716) prize pool, surpassing the VND 5BN (~$192,512) guarantee.
After over ten hours (10:03:23) of competition, 390 players earned payouts with min-cashes starting at VND 5,003,784 (~$192.65). It was China's “AllinDY” conquering the record field to claim the APTO trophy and a record VND 706,783,080 ($27,858) top prize—a mammoth +115.52% increase over the base top prize awarded in 2025.
AllinDY defeated fellow countryman “lialiaqic” heads-up, with the runner-up taking VND 545,004,350 ($21,482) for second place. Philippines' “lucid3” rounded out the top three, taking VND 420,255,623 ($16,565) for third place.
