Rewriting the History Books

The curtain has officially risen on APT Online 2026, and if the first four trophy events are any indication, this year’s festival is rewriting the history books.

Through the opening slate of events, the action has been nothing short of electric. Attracting 8,682 total entries and generating an eye-popping $2,140,607 in prize money, the 2026 series is already pacing ahead of last year’s benchmark—surpassing the opening events of APT Online 2025 by over $111,000 (+5.5%) and posting a +2.6% increase in overall participation.

With two tour records already broken in the two initial Trophy Events, and Event #3: Thailand National Cup 6-Max and the brand-new Event #4: Single Day High Roller – Bounty Freezeout both breezing past their respective guarantees, the opening four events have surpassed their combined guarantee by over 42 percent (42.81%) and the festival is just getting warmed up!

Event #3: Thailand National Cup 6-Max

Short-handed action took center stage for the THB 2,000 (~$60) Event #3: Thailand National Cup 6-Max, which shifted into a rapid-fire 6-Max format for 2026. The digital tables were packed with 3,488 contenders battling across the virtual felt over nine hours (09:37:34) of game time.

While finishing just a whisker shy of 2025’s full-ring numbers (-1.8% entries), the fast-paced 6-max format proved to be an instant fan favorite generating a vibrant THB 6,417,920 (~$191,212) prize pool that comfortably eclipsed its THB 5M (~$148,967) guarantee.

With 510 players making the paying positions and min-cashes starting at THB 4,062.58 (~$121), it was China’s “Ocean Wave” navigating the turbulent waters to seize the trophy and a handsome THB 748,871.51 (~$22,311) top prize after overcoming Slovakia’s “LostDollarex” heads up, with the latter taking THB 555,538.69 (~$16,551.39) for their runner-up finish.

The last of the podium places saw China’s “GaoLq1” collect THB 412,118.87 (~$12,278.42) for their third place finish, with the final table paying out as follows:

With the prize pool guarantee surpassed by over 20 percent (20.33%), players battled over nine hours (09:15:32) of gametime for a piece of the $361,000 prize pool with 84 places paid and min-cashes starting at $552.92.
