Natural8's Kannapong Tent Wins APT Incheon Hyper Turbo Event

While three of our Natural8 Team Hot members were over at the final table of the Last Chance High Roller event, Kannapong Tent was busy winning the APT Incheon Hyper Turbo event for KRW 12,456,000. This KRW 1,000,000 buy-in event attracted 42 entrants, creating a prize pool of KRW 37,800,000. With only 10 minutes per level, you had to be aggressive if you wanted any chance of survival, and soon our 42 entrants were whittled down to a final table.

Final Tablists

Only six spots were paid on the final table, and the first person to be eliminated in a paying position was China’s Xingbiao Zhu. Zhu has a habit of performing well at events here in Incheon and has multiple APT titles from this tournament stop. While he was unable to add another title to his collection, he was able to finish 6th for KRW 2,570,000.

Next to hit the rail was Hong Kong’s Kwok Chun Yip . Yip has come close to a win a couple of times here at Incheon, finishing 3rd in the Turbo Event and 2nd in the Single Draw Turbo event. While obviously having an affinity for the faster-paced games, Yip couldn’t close out the win and finished 5th for KRW 3,300,000.

We then saw the UK’s Lee-Anne Sarah Ball eliminated in 4th for 4,220,000, before GG Poker Ambassador Jeff Gross was eliminated in 3rd for KRW 5,500,000. This is Jeff’s third cash here at APT Incheon, previously cashing in two Single Day High Rollers for 4th and 13th, but he’s still waiting for his first APT trophy.

Jeff’s elimination meant that Japan’s Masaki Nakamura and Thailand’s Kannapong Thanarattrakul would battle it out for the win. Nakamura has plenty of experience at this stage of tournaments, having won the No Limit Single Draw Mix event early in this series. However, Kannapong has plenty of experience of his own, and the Natural8 Team Hot pro managed to get the best of the heads-up match, finishing 1st for KRW 12,456,000.

We at Natural8 would like to congratulate Kannapong on his APT title win!
