Natural8’s Yu Chung Chang Wins APT Incheon Last Chance High Roller

We’re coming to the end of APT Incheon, and with just a couple of tournaments left on the schedule, Natural8’s Yu Chung Chang finally broke his duck and won the APT Incheon Last Chance High Roller event. After making several final tables, Chang managed to close out the win on a stacked final table, collecting KRW 61,934,000 for his efforts.

Final Tablists

A total of 86 players entered the last high roller of APT Incheon, and there were plenty of big names in the field battling for the win. Such a competitive tournament created arguably the hardest final table of APT Incheon, as a number of high-profile tournament pros faced off against each other for the KRW 61,934,000 first-place prize.

First out on the final table was Natural8’s Punnat Punsri; the APT Main Event winner had a solid showing in this year’s Main Event but hasn’t quite been able to show off his skills here in Incheon. Taishi Okazaki was the outlier of this final table, recording his first-ever Hendon Mob cash and showing a lot of talent on his way to an 8th-place finish.

Next to hit the rail was experienced Chinese tournament pro Xixiang Luo; the winner of APT and APPT titles, Luo recorded his biggest cash of this series, finishing 7th for KRW 10,810,000. Dicky Siu Hang Tsang has been a regular in the late stages of tournaments here at APT Incheon and won his fourth APT title when he took down the Mystery Bounty Hunter event sponsored by Natural8 for KRW 32,561,200. However, he couldn’t secure his second title in this event, as he finished 6th for KRW 13,740,000.

Japan’s Yoshitomo Ishii was the next to bust in 5th place, collecting 17,570,000 for his efforts, followed by his countryman Hayato Kitajima, winner of two APT titles already this year, who finished 4th for KRW 22,190,000. Tomoyuki Yoshimiya managed to outlast his compatriots but eventually fell in 3rd place for KRW 28,830,000

This left two Natural8 Team Hot members, Danny Tang and Yu Chung Chang, to battle it out for the win. The two of them have plenty of experience at the sharp end of tournaments, but eventually, Chang was able to edge out his fellow Team Hot member in a tough heads-up match. While Danny will still have to wait to add a second APT title to his already impressive resume, this victory means that Chang has recorded APT win number five, and we’re sure that there’ll be plenty more to come in the future.

We at Natural8 want to congratulate our three final tablists, particularly Yu Chung Chang for securing his 5th APT title!
